Nikki Schaefer, MSW Director, Speaker, and Musician

Nikki holds a masters’ in social work and art therapy and is the Founder and Executive Director of Heart of a Child Ministries. The ministry was inspired through her daughter Grace, when she was just seven years old, during a prayer experience on the Anniversary of Roe v Wade in 2012.

Prior to Heart of a Child Ministries, Nikki was a pro-life pregnancy counselor at Birthright Counseling in St. Louis and a family counselor in the Expectant Parenting Unit at Catholic Services providing individual counseling support and leading art therapy and parenting classes at the local maternity home. Nikki is also an author and illustrator and has written many articles in various homeschooling, parenting, and pro-life publications and is a freelance writer for Aquinas Press. Nikki’s most important accomplishment is the work of her family. She and her husband, Bernie, Vice President of Development at Spirit Catholic Radio, are blessed to have six beautiful children.

Maci Binder Sonographer

Maci Binder was born and raised in a small farming community in Iowa, and moved to Omaha in 2012. She graduated with a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in 2014 from Nebraska Methodist College, and is registered in OB/GYN and Abdominal ultrasound.

She and her husband, Andy, have a young daughter and are also foster parents. Maci has a passion for the mission of Heart of a Child Ministries because life is precious and there is purpose behind every beating heart.

Melissa Bailey Sonographer

Melissa Bailey is a recent transplant to Omaha, NE. She grew up in Phoenix, Arizona with her 3 sisters and parents. She has her degree in diagnostic medical sonography, and is board certified in OB / GYN, abdominal and breast sonography. She also has a love and passion for 3D obstetrical imaging. She came to Heart Of A Child Ministries, because of our mission to show the heart of a child and change the heart of a nation. She is a mother of two sweet girls and is married to her husband Paul. They have two dogs Milo and Ruby. Melissa enjoys plants and creating herbal products for her family.

Kathleen and Jeremy Bowers In-Utero Diagnosis Speakers

Kathleen and Jeremy have always been open to life and have eight living children ages 14 to 1 years old, and three in Heaven. While pregnant with their sixth baby, Dominic, after having an ultrasound, they were told that there was something wrong with him and that he was “incompatible with life.” Abortion was mentioned as an option. Yet, the Bowers chose life and share their incredible journey of pregnancy, prayer, and the gift that Dominic’s life–and his spirit of purity and love–has been to their family and to so many others.

Sonja and Brennon Dreher

Adoption Speakers

Sonja is a teacher at St. Patrick’s in Elkhorn. In 2008, Sonja and her husband and children were called to adopt Brennan. Sonja and Brennan are the dynamic mother/son duo who share their adoption story together–from his perspective, as the child who was adopted, to her perspective, as the loving adoptive mom. The beauty of adoption and the choice of life and God’s love for all life is evident in their powerful testimony.

Angelina Giles, MSN Abortion Speaker and Educator

Angelina Giles earned her Doctorate in Nursing and she specializes in Family Medicine as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Sancta Familia Medical Apostolate. She practices with a holistic manner, in that she focuses on the health of the body, mind, and spirit of each patient. Angelina is well versed in the abortion pill and th Abortion Pill Rescue treatment protocol and has helped countless woman who have chosen to reverse the abortion pill they have taken, allowing them to choose LIFE.

Megan Meyer Speaker

Megan Meyer is the mom to 3 boys, Jackson, Baeron and Maddon, and has been married to her best friend, Mike, for over 17 years. She is a speaker, author, and the founder of Hebrews 12 Ministries which has gained an international following. Her passion is to help others find healing and freedom from shame. Megan shares her past and weaves in God’s truth throughout, inviting others to experience His unconditional love and redemption.

When she isn’t speaking or teaching she enjoys running, traveling, and most of all spending time with her husband and boys.

Delores and Krissy Hartung and Suzie Davlin

Down Syndrome Speakers

Krissy was the ninth child out of the Hartung family and born with down syndrome. Today, over 90% of babies diagnosed with down syndrome in the womb are aborted. Krissy and Suzie share the blessing of Krissy’s life and Suzie shares the blessing of all lives of people with disabilities. Suzie is a special educator and received her calling through the impact that Krissy had on her life (presentation is a video).

Sarah Howarth Abortion Speaker

Sarah shares her story of being at Planned Parenthood–ready to have an abortion, but then courageously walking out and choosing life. Through the love and support of others and the grace and mercy of God, Sarah went from being a homeless, jobless, depressed and suicidal young woman to becoming a faith-filled, joy-filled, grateful mother to her three-year old son. Sarah gives thanks and praise to God for His goodness in her life.

Teresa A. Kenney APRN-MSN, WHNP Speaker and Medical Professional

Teresa was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska and currently resides in Omaha with her husband Daniel and eight children. She received her certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Nebraska Medical Center College Nursing. She began practicing in 2000 at Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction and became a medical consultant in NaproTechnology.

In 2012 she began working for a family practice office called Sancta Familia Medical in Omaha, and currently practices women’s healthcare full time at this practice. In August of 2020, she started The Hormone Genius Podcast, with co-host Jamie Rathjen, with a continued mission to reach women across the world to inspire, educate, and empower them to become the genius of their own hormones. Teresa has over 22 years of experience in women’s healthcare and she is passionate about women learning the gift of their bodies and empowering them to become an advocate in their own health. She recently released her first book The Happy Girl’s Guide to Being Whole available at lumenpress.org.
